EarlySight
EarlySight is a Swiss startup company based in Geneva that aims at revolutionizing care of diseases affecting the eye. The company was founded in 2019 as a spin-off of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL). The co-founders are two engineers: Timothé Laforest, PhD and Mathieu Kunzi, and two professors: Francine Behar-Cohen, MD, PhD and Christophe Moser, PhD. They have developed an imaging tool able to see the eye fundus at microscopic level and measure its biological structure. Coupled to an AI software, the tool has the potential to precisely detect and monitor disease biomarkers.
